In this 34-minute tour, Pete opens the doors to his creative space and walks us through every corner of his setup — from the rig he's built for his upcoming live shows to the machines behind his productions.

The Live Setup

With live shows on the horizon, James (Made by Pete) has been refining a performance rig that balances flexibility with hands-on control. At the centre of it all: Ableton Live running on his laptop, routed through a mixing desk for on-the-fly control.

Around that core, he's assembled some serious firepower:

• Melbourne Instruments Nina — the motorised-knob analogue synth handling melodic duties
• Erica Synths Zen Delay — dub-style delay and filtering, played like an instrument
• RD-909 — A drum machine that needs no introduction

James explains how each piece fits into the live workflow, and why he's chosen hardware over a laptop-only setup for the stage.

Then it's over to the gear behind his records. Pete talks through the instruments that shape his sound in the studio:
