The most common placement for your reverb plugin is at the end of the processing chain. Adding reverb at the start of the chain and feeding it into distortion/saturation can deliver some excellent textures and sonic differences.
Placing the distortion after the reverb gives a more lo-fi and upfront sound. Whereas placing the reverb at the end of the chain can lead to a more laid back feel in comparison.
