#AudiotentTip 145. Limiting.
When using a limiter, make sure you always match the loudness of pre-processed audio. This way you're not tricking your ears into perceiving louder is better. Critically compare the limited and unprocessed version and decide how much limiting is appropriate for your track. If transient details start to disappear, back off the threshold until the desirable result is achieved.
