Vocal Ambience

Audiotent Tip 364. Vocal Ambience.

Interesting vocal effects or atmospheres can be created from tiny snippets of vocal recording.
First, cut a little section from a vocal sample. Next, make sure you make a little fade in/out to the new file to prevent any unnecessary clicks or pops.
Finally, apply creative fx such as long delays and reverbs to create evolving vocal soundscapes.
Bounce the final version to audio and manipulate further. Filtering or reversing the sample can work wonders.
