If tweaking presets or creating synth patches from scratch is not your thing, you can still come up with a unique sound by layering presets.
Once you've created your melody or bass, duplicate the layer and apply a new sound. Multiple sounds merged into one will create a new identity for your track.
For optimum layering, choose presets that have a different character to your existing layers.
