Aligning Stems for Mastering

Audiotent Tip 328. Aligning Stems for Mastering.

When sending your project for mixing or stereo mastering, make sure that all the individual tracks are perfectly aligned.
For example, if your synth lead doesn’t start until 1min, it should have a gap of silence (1min long) in the beginning of the stem.
All tracks starting at the same time, make it easier to prepare the track for mix/master and guarantee a perfect alignment between them.
