Chorus Automation

Audiotent Tip 379. Chorus Automation.

Adding a chorus effect can help to push your sound further to the back of the mix and make it appear wider. Use this to your advantage.
Take the effect one step further and automate the dry/wet signal to create a sense of movement.
When doing this make sure to pay attention to the amount of chorus depth. Too much of it and your sound will become less focused. This can be less than desirable for lower frequency instruments.
